Finding the right child care setting is an important decision. CCR&R Specialists can assist you find quality child care based on your family’s needs.
Families receive information on what quality early learning looks like in a child care program. We encourage families to speak with providers on the phone, schedule a visit to speak with the teachers, and review licensing reports.
We can also connect you with other community resources and programs in the community. This is a FREE service and families can access it as many times as needed.

Contact CCR&R and discuss what’s important to you. The CCR&R specialist can provide you with a list of providers that meet your family’s requirements.
Visit at least 3 providers
Observe and talk with teachers who should be caring, qualified, and well-organized
Ask for reference
Stay for at least 30 minutes, walk around, and look at the whole program
Choose wisely
The right early learning program helps your child learn new skills and develop socially. Look for positive and caring relationships between teachers and children.
The CCR&R program is part of a statewide network funded by the Florida Division of Early Learning.
There are no fees or costs associated with CCR&R services. If you are asked to make a payment for any CCR&R services, please call the Florida Division of Early Learning at (866) 357-3239. To locate a CCR&R program in another state, call Child Care Aware at (800) 424-2426.
If you have concerns regarding your child’s care or wish to submit a complaint against a child care provider, our Child Care Resource & Referral staff can help you connect with the appropriate regulatory agency. To file concerns directly with the Florida Department of Children and Families. All families receiving Child Care Resource and Referral services will be contacted to complete a voluntary survey to gauge your customer service experience with our office. All responses are anonymous and confidential and will not affect your services.

All other reports will be processed within two (2) working days. A Friday report will be processed by Tuesday the following week.
